Procedure for admission in NITs under DASA Scheme

The procedure for admission in NITs under DASA scheme would be centrally co-ordinated and conducted by NIT-Karnataka for 2010-11.

As per the revised procedure, students applying under SPDC scheme and seeking admission in NITs are required to qualify the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT II) Examinations.  This will however not affect the students seeking admissions under SPDC to other institutes having MOU with EdCIL in this regard (Appendix ‘C’ of the information booklet).

The SAT-II Examination for admissions in NITs during the academic year 2010-11 is likely to be conducted on May 01 and June 05, 2010.  The registration dates are March 31 and May 05  respectively.  The entire process would be electronic (web based) to ensure better time management and transparency during the admission. Complete details on SAT examinations are available at www.colegeboard.com. Detailed admission procedure, online application and brochure for the current/revised DASA scheme will be made available on NITK website (www.nitk.ac.in) from 1st April 2010 onwards.
